As a product designer you contribute to that mission by helping hundreds of leading and progressive companies who're already using Homerun to hire people, make hiring more authentic and streamline their hiring process.

We're looking for a product designer to join our team.

This is currently a 6-person team, consisting of a product manager,
front-end, back-end, and full-stack engineers.

  • You work with the team to design and ship features.
  • You help shape the team's roadmap, create and test design concepts, do detailed design, prototype, handover to engineers, design support, and quality assurance on the final results.
  • The team works in 2-week sprints. Each sprint starts with sprint planning, followed by weekly refinements and finishes with a presentation to the entire team.
  • You partner up with our product manager Toon, and our Customer Success team, to gather insights from customers.
  • You're part of the Homerun design team, with whom you can collaborate, review work, and further develop the design discipline at Homerun.
  • You work with our head of design Joris, who will help you do your best work, and help you grow as a designer.

Homerun helps companies manage their hiring process, from the first applicant to the final hire.

This type of tool is called an 'Applicant Tracking System' (ATS.) In our case it makes up about half of our product suite. The other half is our visual career site and job post builder. 

Our users are typically internal recruiters, hiring managers, and employees involved in the interviewing process.

The current product includes features like to-dos, team chat, email communication with candidates, and insights. It will be you and your team's responsibility to further develop our ATS into the world's best recruitment tool for creative companies.

This means improving on existing functionality, as well as adding new functionality to the product, like reviewing and scoring candidates throughout every stage of the interviewing process, documenting private or sensitive communication, and offering advanced roles and permissions. And that's just the near future. Over the next few years we'll keep innovating and reinventing our products, and you'll be a part of that journey.

You love solving complex and meaningful problems, and have the eye for detail needed for building high-quality products.

  • Interaction design — You can solve complicated interaction design problems, but you also have a feel for typography, colour, and layout.
  • Mobile — You know how to design mobile-first, and can make complex software work responsively on multiple devices.
  • Design systems — You have experience working with design systems. You know when to use what's there, and when to expand.
  • UX research — You have experience doing UX research. You know how and when to integrate research, and can prepare, and conduct it with the team.
  • Data — You can use quantitative data to inform your understanding of problems, exploration of solutions, and your decision making process.
  • Product — You're a product thinker. You make sure that your designs align with business goals, and you see a product's adoption as a part of its success.
  • Team player — You are a positive and ambitious force on the team, and love collaborating with a diverse group of people.

We are just starting to build our product team, and you'll be one of our first designers. You'll have a lot of freedom and responsibility. You'll be working from beginning to end on our product, ideating new and innovative concepts to detailed iterations on micro interactions.
